It is not only streamers who love switching weapons in Fortnite. Even the simple Fortnite players love switching weapons. You might be wondering why do Fortnite players switch weapons even though they already have one? Well, let me tell you the reason why Fortnite players switch weapons.
Why do Fortnite players switch weapons? The main reason why Fortnite players switch weapons is because their current weapon is weak compared to the weapon they found. In Fortnite, one of the things that you need to do to win is to have a good weapon that deals high damage. If your weapon is too weak, then it’s time to loot for some strongest weapons.
Let’s dive deeper into this article so that you can understand why Fortnite players switch weapons. I play Fortnite and I can tell you that I love switching weapons oftenly. Aside from picking the best gun, there are other reasons why I switch weapons in Fortnite, which I will tell you!
Why Do Fortnite Players Switch Weapons?
If you are playing Fortnite most of the time, you can relate to the reasons below about why Fortnite players switch weapons. If you are not a Fortnite addict or a beginner, you might not yet understand why Fortnite players switch weapons.
The reasons why Fortnite players switch weapons below is based on personal experience and on my observation on different streamers or Fortnite pro players. Let’s check them out!
They Have Weaker Gun
The main reason why Fortnite players switch weapons is because they have wreckers guns and need to switch to stronger guns.
Aside from having a good aim, one of the things that you need to win in Fortnite is to have a strong weapon that deals a lot of damage to the enemy.
Having a strong weapon is a good asset and you can have a high chance of winning the battle. I am not saying that you can’t win the game with a weaker gun since there are lots of Fortnite players that manage to win even if they have the weakest gun.
All I am saying is that if you can find a stronger weapon while you are looting, you must switch to that gun because it will give you more advantage.
This is the main reason why Fortnite players switch weapons. Fortnite players have the same mindset when it comes to picking a gun. All Fortnite players will prefer a stronger gun that deals lots of damage to the enemy.
Bullets Running Out
The second reason why Fortnite players switch weapons is because their current gun has a low amount of bullets already. If you have a strong gun but have no bullets, it is absolutely useless!
Some Fortnite players cannot find a bullet for their current gun so it means they have no option but to find another type of gun.
Also, during a battle, the time you have to reload is limited because you can get shot while you are reloading. This means that you must pick up the nearest gun around you after firing all of the bullets in your gun’s magazine.
Fortnite is a game of speed. If you are not fast enough, then you give your enemy an advantage to win over you. That is why Fortnite players prefer to switch guns rather than reload during a combat.
Even me! Whenever I have an opponent, I don’t reload my gun. I switch a gun or pick up a gun near me. I have no time to reload, especially if my enemy destroyed the walls I built already.
Some Gun Takes Too Long To Shoot
The third reason why Fortnite players switch weapons is because some guns takes too long to shoot!
This is a good way to strategy to use guns that take a long time to shoot between shots. In particular, shotguns. It takes a long time to be able to shoot again with the pump shotgun.
Instead of waiting for it to be pumped, it is easier to switch to a second shotgun because the time it takes to switch weapons is less than the time it takes to reload. This led to the “double pump” strategy, which Epic Games has tried to get rid of many times.
Basically, if you had two pump shotguns, you could switch between them quickly to shoot because it took less time to switch weapons than it did to pump the gun after shooting once.
Final Words
To conclude, there are three reasons why Fortnite players switch weapons: they have weaker guns, the bullets of their current gun are running out, and some guns take too long to shoot. Switching guns in Fortnite is a strategy that most Fortnite players execute.
