God Of War has lots of series, which all of them are made wonderfully. That is why lots of gamers love playing God Of War. Gamers that were born in 1900-2000 have probably played the oldest God Of War game.
For gamers that were born late, they might probably have not played the old God Of War games. Probably they have caught up in the new God Of War games. Or maybe the gamers are just new into the God Of War series and were hooked up with the latest God Of War game. These gamers asked if they should play God Of War in order.
Like I have stated above, if you want to know the story of God Of War, then you should play God Of War in order. However, if you just want to try the game, then playing God Of War in order is not necessary.
How To Play God Of War In Order?
Since the second generation of PlayStation consoles, the God of War series has been around. The Internet was slow, memory slots were the only way to save games, and people tripped over wired controllers all the time.
God of War: Ragnarok just came out for our fancy new PlayStation 5s and PlayStation 4s, and if you’re new to the series, you missed out on a lot. Even though this game is the best of what a story/combat game should be, the older games had a big impact on the industry.
In the first three AAA God of War games, players fought giant gods and monsters. In the newer games, however, things are more realistic. Even though there are still big monsters, the newer games focus more on Kratos and Atreus’ relationship.
Playing the games in the right order is easy. Since they were all released at the same time, they have all been in order. This is not like Silent Hill, where there are a lot of prequels.

Ragnarok is a direct follow-up to the last game. It starts a few years after what happened in the last game. It doesn’t waste any time picking up where the last adventure left off. In the first few hours, it adds more characters and makes things more dangerous.
Ragnarok can be played on its own, but it is definitely “part two.” The two games have a lot in common and tell the same epic story. If you have time, you should play God of War 2018 before you play Ragnarok so you don’t get lost.
There are a few other things you can do if you’d rather stay put. When you first start Ragnarok, you can watch a recap of what happened in the last game on the main menu. It’s not very long, though, and it doesn’t go into a lot of detail.
