Is Goat Simulator 3 Kid Friendly?
Goat Simulator 3 seems to be a kid’s game because of its theme and because it is an animal game and kids love animals. However, is Goat Simulator 3 kid friendly?
Like I have said above, Goat Simulator 3 has received PEGI 12 because the game has some moderate violence and use of a bad language.
The game is not just about goats. There are also humans inside the game, which use swear words. Also, the goat can hurt other animals and people, which is considered as a moderate violence.
The goal of the game is for the goat to cause as much chaos and damage as possible. This can lead to bad things happening to people.
For example, if the goat gives a propane tank a head butt, the tank will explode and anything nearby will catch fire. This will make human and other animal characters run or roll around, but it doesn’t seem to hurt them, and once the flames are out, they go back to normal.
In the same way, characters can get hit by moving vehicles, but they don’t get hurt. The goat can also attack people, making them scream, yell, and fall to the ground. When characters who have been knocked down are stepped on, they may scream again.
Kids that are below 12 years old are not allowed to play this game. Only people that are 12 years old above can play this game but still, with parent’s supervision.
Goat Simulator Review
For those who don’t know, the game is a crazy sandbox like Grand Theft Auto, but with a few differences: you play as a goat, all cheat codes are turned on, and you go on a lot of crazy adventures without caring much about the rules.
You play the part of Pilgor, a goat who is going to do great things. As the exposition told you while you were being rolled into a farm like in Skyrim, you’ve caused a lot of trouble and ended up in space. Then, you and your other goat friends are led to a farm, where you find a goat tower that takes you to a throne room. Your goal is to open all the gates and find out what’s going on there.
As soon as you start the game, you’ll be able to enjoy all of Goat Simulator 3’s madness and crazy fun. As soon as you get inside the goat tower, you can choose to follow the game’s main path or just go into the sandbox and mess around with the whole world.
You pretty much have an unlimited number of lives, no one really attacks you, and you can do whatever you want in the world. When I said it’s like Grand Theft Auto with the cheats turned on, I meant it in every way.
To get around the world, you trot around, triple jump into anyone, lick and drag unsuspecting victims, grind through electric lines, and even steal cars because you’re a goat and that gives you the right to drive. It’s a huge map, so there’s a lot to discover and a lot more trouble to cause.
In Goat Simulator 3, you can do things like complete side quests and tricks to get experience points and even cosmetic items like hats and whatever else you can think of. This lets you open more gates inside the Goat Tower and get access to more secrets and moves, giving you more ways to cause trouble and annoy people and animals.
The game doesn’t take itself seriously at all, so it’s good and silly fun. It’s a great way to take a break from thinking for a while and just play in the sandbox. If you have friends, the experience will be even better because you can play with up to four people at once in online multiplayer, which is where the real fun is.
Goat Simulator 3 can be a lot of mindless fun, which it really is, but I think the novelty wears off pretty fast. Even though the first few hours of this game are a lot of fun, especially with friends, if you’re looking for something more substantial, you should look elsewhere.
There are many things to do, like side quests and tricks, but at the end of the day, why do you do them other than to get trophies? Goat Simulator 3 has about as little of a plot as you can get, and there’s no main story to follow unless you really want to look around and see what the game has to offer.
Through its side quests, Goat Simulator 3 makes fun of many popular series, like Skyrim and P.T. This is a great way to add more interesting things to do in the game. There are a lot of references all over, so if you’re an Easter Egg hunter, it’s a lot of fun to look for as many of these callouts as you can.
I’m a traditional player who likes to know what to do before jumping into the sandbox, so this game is not for me. The novelty wore off very quickly, and the crazy amount of fun I was having just a few hours earlier turned into a mad dash to check off boxes and meet the goals.
During my time with Goat Simulator 3, I also had some pretty obvious performance problems that weren’t too bad. Given that the game is only available for the current generation of consoles and PC, it’s surprising to see. We think it will be fixed and patched up soon.
It’s a good thing that Goat Simulator 3 doesn’t take itself too seriously. Even though it’s a lot of fun, it’s hard to recommend because your enjoyment of it depends on how well you deal with the idea. For me, it was fun for a few hours before I got bored, but if you play with other people online, it can be fun for a long time.
So, even though there are a lot of things to do and jokes to be had, Goat Simulator 3 is probably not the best choice for you if you like games with clear paths to follow. Before you start playing, you should watch some videos about the game.
Final Words
Based on the game review, Goat Simulator 3 is not safe for kids that are below 12 years old. Like I have said, Goat Simulator 3 is suitable for kids that are 12 years old and above only. However, parents still need to check on their kids while playing this game even if it is suitable for 12 years old and above.
